2014 marks the 75 anniversary of one of the most beloved and iconic characters ever created, The Dark Knight himself; Batman. Created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane, Batman debuted in Detective Comic #27 in March 1939. Since then, Bruce Wayne has been donning a cape and cowl and protecting Gotham City against evil and injustice and through various writers, artists, directors and actors has created a legacy that is recognised all around the world. Although he was first introduced to the world through comic books, Batman has made a successful transition to the big and small screens since the 1940s. Although we’ll have to wait till 2016 before we can see Ben Affleck’s take on Batman, film3sixty have decided to take a look back at all of The Dark Knight’s cinematic incarnations to date, from Adam West to Christian Bale.
