First trailer for the new Ridley Scott Bible epic is released
The first teaser trailer for Exodus: Gods and Kings has just been released and it seems the picture seems to have the same scale of grandeur as previous Scott action adventures such as Gladiator (2000).
The trailer focuses on Moses (Bale) butting heads with his brother Rhamses (Egerton) and gives a glimpse of the various plagues that will befall the Egyptians. With everything from fire, bloody water, natural disasters, chariot races and sword fights this film has managed to fit a lot in.
Sigourney Weaver, Ben Kingsley, Aaron Paul and John Turturro also star, while Scott directs from a script written by Steven Zaillian. Chernin Entertainment have produced the picture with Twentieth Century Fox distributing it.
The trailer has arrived just as Scott and Chernin Entertainment have also announced plans to develop another film based on a famous biblical character, King David, which Fox will also distribute.
The film is due to hit cinemas on 26 December 2014.
